CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF PARTICIPANTS
For more than 60 years, Miss Menahga has shined her light on the community of Menahga, representing this town and its unique qualities locally and in neighboring communities. 30 years ago, Little Miss Menahga joined the adventure.
The Menahga Midsummer Pageant Director has recommended and the Menahga C&C has affirmed the decision not to hold the 2024 Menahga Midsummer Pageant on Friday, July 12th. While disappointing for those who expressed an interest in competing in the pageant and those who plan the pageant, this decision was necessary due to an insufficient number of interested candidates.
Miss Menahga Erica Johnson will continue her reign for the next year. Serving alongside her will be Little Miss Menahga Emma Graham, Little First Princess Kaylee Bergquist, and Little Second Princess Finley Lusti.
Menahga will continue to be well-represented in this community and beyond.
It is the joint hope of the Menahga Midsummer Pageant Committee and the Menahga C&C that the legacy of Miss Menahga endures for generations to come. A reimagined Menahga Midsummer Pageant program will be explored in the coming months. Anyone interested in serving on the exploration committee is encouraged to contact Betsy Meyer at nickallbel@gmail.com.
The Miss Menahga Pageant is a proud part of the Menahga Civic and Commerce Association, and is held annually, the second weekend in July, during the Menahga Midsummer Celebration.
The 43rd Annual Saint Urho Run and Lil St. Urho Run are organized by UNC Cross Country. For more information and online registration, go to GetMeRegistered.com.
This year’s Art & Craft Fair will be held on the Elementary School sidewalk. If you are interested in having a booth, please email paurusholly@yahoo.com or call Holly Roiko at (218) 255-2225for more information.

The parade runs east to west on Main Street for nine blocks from Fern Avenue to Fir Avenue. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE FOR OUR PARADE!
Below you will find the parade entry form. If you or your organization is planning to enter a unit in the parade, please fill out the form and return it either to: Liz Olson at lizolson@wcta.net; or by mail to Midsummer Parade 2024, c/o Liz Olson, 528 2nd St SE, Menahga, MN 56464, as soon as possible. All entries must enter the line-up area from the south, at the (East side of the Menahga School) High School parking lot on or before 6:30 p.m. It is located one block east of the St. Urho Statue on Highway 71. Parade officials will be able to direct you to your spot in the line-up from that area.
The deadline for all entries will be Friday June 17th, 2024, but your earliest attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated to get started on the line-up. Late entries will be added to the end of the line-up in the order in which they are received.
If you have any questions, call or text Liz Olson, at (218) 329-5645. In anticipation of your positive reply, the Menahga Civic and Commerce Association would like to thank you for helping make our parade a successful event. We look forward to seeing you in July!
